Sports Medicine and Lameness

Performance Evaluations

At Manor Equine, we thoroughly evaluate and treat all varieties of equine lameness because when it comes to the equine athlete, performance issues are just as important to us as they are to you! We hope to help you get and keep your horse in top performance condition.

Our veterinarians often perform lameness exams at our clinic, where our facilities allow for careful observation and treatment. We have hard and soft footing for evaluating your horse's movement, a small ring for lunging and/or riding, and advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities just a few steps away in our hospital's fully-equipped treatment room. Our ambulatory veterinarians can also come to your farm to evaluate your horse in his or her regular environment, as almost all of our diagnostic and therapy modalities are available in the ambulatory setting.

Pre-Purchase Examinations

We are happy to offer pre-purchase exams at our clinic or on the farm. This service includes a complete physical exam, a standing orthopedic exam, a thorough performance evaluation, and a brief neurological assessment. Additional evaluation via diagnostic imaging (x-ray or ultrasound), upper airway endoscopy, bloodwork analysis, and/or full-panel drug screening can be requested. A detailed pre-purchase examination report will be furnished to the buyer.
