Anne Matthews, MLIS
Reception Manager
Anne is a native of northern Baltimore County, Maryland. She has a Bachelor's degree in English/History from McDaniel College and a Masters in Librarian Information Science from the University of Maryland. She grew up riding and worked at both rehabilitiation and FEI stables before joining the Manor Equine team in 2018. Anne's interests include equine facility management and sport horse breeding. In her free time, she trains and shows her own horses in dressage.
Maegen Brown, RVT, CVT
Veterinary Technician
Maegen is a Pennsylvania resident and grew up around horses. She competed in western pleasure, equitation, and youth rodeo, where her main events were barrel racing and pole bending. Maegen is a graduate of Wilson College, with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology, and has been licensed as a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2014. In her free time, Maegen enjoys weight lifting and spending time with her husband and her boxers (Hemi and Ella).
Emily VanBuskirk
Veterinary Assistant
Emily grew up in southeast Pennsylvania, raising and showing various livestock in 4H. She attended Delaware Valley University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Equine Science with a focus in breeding. After graduation, she worked for a large Standardbred breeding operation for five years before deciding that she wanted to explore the veterinary medical aspects of the equine industry. She joined the Manor Equine team in fall 2021, and is currently working toward her LVT certification. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with her family, husband, English Springer Spaniel (Moose), black cat (Ty), seven guinea pigs, and rabbit.
Rebecca Toms
Veterinary Assistant
Rebecca grew up in Hampstead, Maryland, pony clubbing and enjoying her own horses. She attended Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD, earning her Bachelor's degree in Biology. Following graduation, she worked as a veterinary assistant in a small animal emergency clinic in Annapolis before joining the Manor Equine team in October 2022. She is currently working toward her LVT certification. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her boyfriend and two rescue pit mixes (Cosmo and Olive).
Lexi Solley
Veterinary Assistant
Lexi is originally from Annapolis, Maryland, joining 4H at 8-years old and rapidly cementing a love of horses. She attended Delaware Valley University, graduating in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Equine Business Management. Following graduation, she was a breeding manager at a Standardbred farm in Union Bridge, MD. She joined the MEH team in January 2023 and is currently working toward her LVT certification. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her Corgi (Dolly) and her lab (Reba).
Alyssa Hofmeister
Barn Staff
Alyssa grew up in Freeland, Maryland, riding and enjoying her own horses. She is a Hereford High School graduate and joined the Manor Equine team in spring 2021. In her free time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, riding her horse (Duke), and loving on her cat (Nikko).
